Minawi: We never tolerate RSF Militia… Islamists must apologize to the people of Sudan

Portsudan: Ahmed Omar Khojali

The Head of the Higher Council of Beja Chiefdoms and Independent Mayorships, Chieftain Mohamed El-Amin Trek, has launched the initiative for the (Sudanese-Sudanese) Dialogue Project. Native and civil entities agreed to choose the Governor of Darfur and the Head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement (SLAM), Minni Arko Minawi, as Chairperson of the Conference Preparation Committee.

During his address to a deliberating meeting in Portsudan to launch an initiative for Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, Minawi directed harsh criticism at the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Coordination Body of The Civilian Democratic Forces (Taqaddum), because of the ongoing war in Sudan. “Their actions can never be tolerated at all.” He said.

Minawi stressed that the crimes of the militia in Sudan are unforgivable, saying “no one can tolerate with the Rapid Support Forces”. “How can they forgive them after they raped and looted?” He continued.

Minawi said that no tribe can create a state of “Junaid or Attawa (two clans of Rizeigat Tribe)”, describing anyone who seeks to create a state for the benefit of a tribe as an (ignorant and empty). He continued “There is no person who can establish Emirate of Attawa or Junaid.”

In the same vein, Minawi called on the Islamists to conduct real reviews of their experience, in their both parties; popular or national, demanding them to learn the lesson and apologize to the Sudanese people. He stressed that he does not prosecute the Islamists, asserting that no political forces are capable of eradicating the Islamists.

Minawi accused the RSF militia and “Taqaddum” of political foolishness by claiming that the war was waged by Islamists or that their war was against Islamists, and asked: “Are the women of Tambol Islamists to be raped? Is the bombing of civilians in El-Fashir a war against Islamists?” “No one claims that he is fighting Islamists.” He added.
