Minawi Warns: National Alignment or “Chaos” Will Engulf What Remains of the State

Leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), Minni Arko Minnawi, has said that the adoption and approval of the internal charter of the Forces of Freedom and Change (Democratic Bloc) marks a pivotal step to block the path to “chaos and fragmentation” and to lay the foundations for a solid national project that does not accept compromise.

In a Facebook post, Minnawi stressed that the momentum of change will not stop, describing the approval of the charter as the outcome of responsible discussions that placed the nation’s interest above all else. He said clearly: “From today onwards, there is no room for hesitation or political courtesy. The battle is a battle to build a nation. Either we stand in one rank, or we leave space for chaos to consume the state.”

Minnawi added that the move represents the beginning of a phase of “action, not words,” aimed at restoring the authority of state institutions and achieving the aspirations of Sudanese citizens for freedom, peace, and justice.

He also issued a direct appeal to all national forces and the public to rally around this project in support of a genuine transformation process, stressing that the will of the people will always remain stronger than attempts to obstruct change.
