Minawi Movement: We Did Not Meet with UAE Envoys in Chad

Th official spokesman for the Sudan Liberation Army Movement (SLAM) headed by Minni Arko Minawi, Al-Sadig Ali Al-Nour, confirmed the inaccuracy of Chadian news websites’ reports that a delegation from the movement met with UAE envoys in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, as part of Chadian mediation.

In a statement to Darfur Now, Al-Nour described the circulated reports as “disturbance and an attempt to divert attention from what is happening behind the scenes in Port Sudan.”
