Minawi Leaves Sudan… Tambour Says His Non-Return Is a “Nonsense Rumor”

 

The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, has issued a decision appointing Mustafa Tambour to temporarily run the region’s affairs due to his departure on an official mission abroad, the details of which have not yet been disclosed.

 

 

A statement issued by the Governor’s Office clarified that Minni Arko Minawi will leave the country to perform official duties related to regional and international affairs, while Tambour will continue to manage the region’s affairs until the Governor’s return from abroad.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of Darfur Region, Mustafa Tambour, confirmed that any talk of Minni Minawi not returning to the country was a rumor spread by naive people and those with ulterior motives. He continued, “Minawi is on a mission outside Port Sudan and will return soon.”
