Militia detains and tortures approximately 40 employees of an American organization in Darfur

The spokesperson for the Zamzam camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs), Mohammed Khamis Doda, has revealed that the presidential council of the International Relief Organization in the United States issued a decision to evacuate the remaining employees of the organization who survived the massacre targeting their colleagues in Zamzam camp, in addition to the organization’s employees in El-Fashir, outside Sudan.
Doda noted that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia intercepted the employees as they were leaving, accusing them of being army officers and smuggling them out, putting them in danger.
Doda stated that approximately 40 employees of the organization are currently being tortured by Janjaweed elements.
