Labor Minister: Teacher’s salary will be placed at the top of wage scale

Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Agar, met in his office on Thursday with the Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform, Ahmed Ali Abdel-Rahman.

 

The Minister briefed TSC Vice President on the final arrangements for the Civil Service Conference, which was directed by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council to deliberate on the civil service issues in Sudan, pointing out the need to hold the conference as soon as possible.

 

The meeting touched on the job and financial conditions of the state employees and the coordination that took place between the Council of Ministers and the relevant ministries to implement the decisions and recommendations of the Civil Service Affairs Bureau to grant employees a meal allowance and housing support to ease the burdens of living.

 

The meeting also discussed the formation of a committee to study the conditions of teachers, adjust their financial conditions, distinguish them by placing them at the top of the wage scale, and implement the outcomes of the workshop and administrative reform that was held recently on the ground.

 

The Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform explained that the Civil Service Conference will discuss issues including the duty of the civil service in the renaissance of the nation, its role in sustainable economic development and reconstruction, noting that the conference will discuss the issue of labor acts and their relationship with the private sector, in addition to the corruption in the civil service, the absence of strategic planning and ways to achieve job satisfaction.

 

The Minister explained that he briefed TSC Vice President on some technical aspects related to the committee which was formed to deal with state employees who work with the rebellion, noting that the committee works according to laws and regulations and does not dare to dismiss a state employee unless it is proven that he is involved in acts that contradict the laws related to work in the civil service.
