Khartoum Intelligence Dismantles Clandestine Arms Network, Seizes Large Cache of Ammunition

 

The Intelligence Branch of the Khartoum Military Area, under the supervision of Khartoum Military Area Commander Major General Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Bashir, carried out a complex security operation that resulted in the dismantling of a criminal network involved in trafficking weapons and ammunition.

The operation led to the seizure of large quantities of weapons and ammunition of various types, along with the arrest of a number of suspects. Legal proceedings will be initiated against them through the filing of criminal cases and their referral to justice.

Commander of the Central Capital Area, Major General Othman Juma Bashir, inspected the seizure and commended the vigilance of the forces and the effectiveness of security coordination that contributed to the success of the operation.

Police spokesperson Brigadier (Police) Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Toum told the Police Press Office that joint security campaigns will continue intensively to implement the committee’s directives, pursue criminal networks, and collect illegal weapons, thereby enhancing security and stability and supporting the return of normal civilian life in Khartoum State.
