Khartoum Airport Receives First International Flight After Years of Suspension

A direct international flight carrying 300 Sudanese returnees arrived at Khartoum International Airport on Tuesday, operated by Kuwait Airways, marking a step toward reviving international air traffic at the airport after a three-year suspension caused by the ongoing war.

The airport received the first direct international flight from Kuwait, which brought more than 300 returning nationals.

Acting Director of Khartoum International Airport, Hassan Al-Hadi, described the arrival of the first international flight from Kuwait as “an important step toward resuming global air traffic,” affirming the airport’s readiness to receive international flights after meeting safety requirements and obtaining the necessary operational licenses.
