(Joint Force) buries 462 corpses of Janjaweed, urges militia to surrender

 

The Joint Force of Armed Struggle Movements said that over the course of three days, it buried 462 bodies of Janjaweed militia left behind by the recent battles in northern Mellit and Al-Malha area.

 

The official spokesman for the Joint Force, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Hussein, confirmed, in a military statement received by (Sudanese Echoes), that the militia suffered heavy losses in lives and hundreds of militia soldiers and entire three advance forces were killed. Hussein explained that the militia left behind hundreds of bodies, causing a serious environmental disaster in the area.

 

The Joint Force explained, in its statement, that it buried the dead out of humanity and to honor the dead in a manner befitting human dignity and to preserve the safety of the local population from the environmental disaster whose effects began to appear in the area one day after the battle.

 

The official spokesman for the Joint Force called on the remaining militia soldiers to think about their fate and what awaits them. He said that they serve a party that does not even respect the right to honor its dead, urging them to respond to the general amnesty issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces and surrender themselves to the nearest military unit of the regular forces to preserve their lives.
