In 15 Days… Army Destroys and Recovers 260 Combat Vehicles and Liberates Strategic Areas Across Five Fronts
The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces announced, in a press statement issued Tuesday by its official spokesperson, that it has achieved broad strategic field successes across various combat fronts in the country, during precision operations carried out by the Armed Forces, supported by allied forces, from June 15 to June 30.
According to the military statement, the Armed Forces inflicted heavy losses on the so-called “Al Dagalo militia” and its mercenaries and destroyed its logistical and military infrastructure. The overall operational tally included the destruction of 224 combat vehicles, the seizure of 36 additional vehicles with their full equipment, in addition to the downing of a strategic drone, the destruction of two tanks, five military supply trucks, four fuel tankers, two ammunition depots, and two fuel storage facilities, along with heavy casualties in personnel.
The field achievements were distributed across five main fronts. In the North Darfur front, the forces carried out precise operations in the Abu Qamra area, resulting in the destruction of 39 combat vehicles and the killing and wounding of dozens of militia members, while air defenses shot down a hostile strategic drone north of Al-Tewaisha.
In the West Darfur front, the Armed Forces tightened their control over the town of Kulbus and surrounding areas after defeating enemy forces and forcing them to flee. The army also destroyed 10 combat vehicles and seized 29 others in full military readiness.
In the North Kordofan front, the forces continued extensive clearance and security operations, achieving the largest share in equipment destruction, with around 119 combat vehicles, in addition to destroying four fuel tankers, five supply trucks, and two fuel storage facilities.
In the South Kordofan front, forces secured targeted areas through ongoing clearance operations, during which they destroyed 27 combat vehicles and eliminated a number of militia members.
The army achieved strategic progress in the Blue Nile front by liberating the areas of Sarkam and Maqja following decisive battles, during which 29 combat vehicles, two tanks, and two ammunition depots in Al-Kormuk were destroyed, in addition to the seizure of seven combat vehicles and the infliction of heavy casualties on the militia.
The official spokesperson for the Armed Forces affirmed the army’s determination to continue its military operations across all fronts until full national territory is cleared, and security and stability are fully restored, praying for mercy for the martyrs, recovery for the wounded, and the safe return of prisoners and missing persons.
