(If Tagadum government is formed)…the militia intends to issue new passports in the areas under its control

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia welcomed the proposals and initiatives put forward by Sudanese Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Tagadum) to form a government in the areas under its control to provide services to citizens.

Tagadum intends to form a government parallel to the Sudanese government in the areas under the control of the RSF militia.

The militia said that it will address the problem of citizens’ identification papers in the areas under its control if a government is formed in the coming period.

The idea of forming a government in the areas controlled by the militia finds support from civilian forces and some armed struggle movements that signed the Juba Peace Agreement.

The political advisor to the militia commander, Mohamed Al-Mukhtar, told (Al-Taghyeer), “If a government is formed in the areas under our control, we will address all the problems suffered by citizens and those deprived of their rights to education, health and identification papers.”

He claimed that “these rights are fundamental and guaranteed by the constitution and laws, but Al-Burhan and his group in Portsudan ended any form of state in the areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces.”

Al-Mukhtar accused “Al-Burhan” of separating Sudan by depriving citizens of documents, identification papers and banking procedures by issuing currency in certain areas – he claimed.
