IDPs in El-Fashir reject call to open safe corridors to leave the city

Internal Displaced persons (IDPs) in the Zamzam, Abu Shouk, and Abuja camps in El-Fashir denounced the call made by Dr. Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Hajar, head of the Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering, for El-Fashir residents and IDPs to safely leave the city to areas under their control.
The call was made with the aim of securing the exit process and offering them incentives, given the deteriorating living and security conditions in the city.
According to SUNA, the displaced persons confirmed their complete refusal to leave their city, where they have spent two years. They preferred to remain, despite the militia’s shelling with “Bunkak” and “Arbaeen Daleel” rockets, as well as tanks, Katyusha rockets, and drones.
A Darfur resident described Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Hajar as traitors who left their families in the camps.
