Nyala, (Sudanese Echoes) – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has enlisted an Israeli expert to provide engineering and technical supervision for the operation of its air defense and drone systems, as well as its communications equipment.
Sources revealed that the expert, Meir Cohen, arrived in Nyala from Ethiopia four months ago.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that his visit focused directly on engineering and technical supervision of the operation of sophisticated air defense systems and modern communications equipment, amid heightened attention to the movements of foreign personnel in the region.
Reports from informed sources revealed that shortly after his arrival, the expert held closed coordination meetings with field commander Ahmed Hamdan Al-Semaih. Discussions between the two focused on urgent plans to prepare six fortified underground shelters designated for strategic drones at Kashlangu Camp, east of Nyala Airport.
Field sources added that the forces controlling the site sought additional urgent support. These efforts included requests for assistance in obtaining advanced drones and sophisticated anti-aircraft systems, as well as modern jamming equipment to enable them to carry out precision attacks against Sudanese Army positions.

He has been working as a drone trainer at Mooseih Camp and residing in the Airport neighborhood.
