Hell in Nyala and Al-Da’ein: Warplanes Turn Fuel Markets to Ashe
The Sudanese Armed Forces launched airstrikes targeting fuel markets in the cities of Al‑Da’ein in East Darfur State and Nyala in South Darfur State, triggering powerful explosions and causing casualties, according to sources cited by Ultra Sudan.
The sources said that a drone strike hit the fuel market in Al-Da’ein, while warplanes carried out air raids on a fuel market east of Nyala, which is reportedly used to supply fighters of the Rapid Support Forces with fuel in their battles against the Sudanese army.
Eyewitnesses reported that the explosions sent thick plumes of smoke across the sky over Nyala and that local authorities struggled to contain the blaze. Meanwhile, the sources indicated that the Rapid Support Forces detained several civilians on accusations of collaborating with the army and transmitting coordinates of military positions.
The strikes are part of an intensified aerial campaign carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces for several months against Rapid Support Forces positions across Darfur. The campaign has targeted sites including Nyala International Airport, as well as the cities of Zalingei and El Geneina and a number of training camps, reportedly inflicting significant losses.
