Gujja Flees Following Orders by Abdel-Rahim Dagalo to Arrest Him
Disputes and power struggles within the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia have intensified following a call by militia commander Ahmed Gujja urging members of the Misseriya tribe to withdraw immediately from all combat fronts outside the Kordofan region, particularly the Blue Nile front.
Sources told Shahed Ayan (Eyewitness) Platform that Abdel-Rahim Dagalo, the militia’s second-in-command, issued strict orders for Gujja’s arrest, prompting him to flee to the city of Lagawa, where he sought refuge with his tribal group.
According to the same sources, the militia leadership reacted with intense anger to Gujja’s moves. Abdel-Rahim Dagalo was quoted as accusing him of seeking to rise to a leadership position at the expense of the militia’s command. Gujja has also faced allegations concerning the handling of military equipment, including the disappearance of approximately 85 combat vehicles out of 100 previously handed over to him.
The militia had previously eliminated several Misseriya military commanders, most notably Jalaha and Al-Sadig Makin.
