Governor of Al-Gezira Scheme: Turkey intends to rehabilitate the Scheme

Governor of Al-Gezira Scheme, Ibrahim Mustafa, revealed that a plan is ready to rehabilitate the Scheme after the first day of the end of the war, referring to the existence of Turkish pledges to rehabilitate the Scheme.

At the same time, he denied the existence of famine, confirming that Sudan has not and will not starve.

He predicted famine in areas controlled by the militia.

The governor of the Al-Gezira Scheme said, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) published on the internal pages, that the losses of Al-Gezira Scheme due to the militia attacks are estimated at billions of dollars. He pointed out that a large number of Scheme farmers were martyred by the militia’s bullets.
