Government of Sudan’s Official Spokesperson: Outlaw RSF militia exploits UAE ambassador’s residence in Khartoum as a platform to shell vital sites

Minister of Culture and Information, the official spokesman for the Government of Sudan, Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir, revealed that the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia exploited the residence of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Ambassador, in southern Khartoum, for managing its military operations and meetings of its field commanders, indicating that the militia used the headquarters as a platform to bomb vital sites in Khartoum.

Dr. Graham said, in a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs following a meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in Portsudan on Monday, that the government rejects the UAE’s allegations that the army bombed the residence of its ambassador in Khartoum, stressing Sudan’s respect for international treaties and covenants to protect diplomatic missions’ headquarters.

Dr. Graham unveiled that the insurgent RSF militia used the residence of the UAE ambassador in Khartoum as a platform to bomb the General Command of the Army, and bombed the headquarters of the Armored Corps in Al-Shajara Military Zone, indicating that there is evidence documenting the militia’s installation of Katyusha rocket platforms in the residence and heavy artillery around it.

The official government spokesman confirmed the UAE continuinty in providing the rebellion with weapons, logistical support and supplies through airports in Chad and other airports outside the regional perimeter, noting that the UAE has established a field hospital for the militia in Chad, in addition to providing medical services to the militia’s wounded in advanced hospitals, including hospitals inside the UAE.

The Minister of Culture and Information, the official government spokesman, stated that the government has confirmed information about the UAE’s involvement in the attack on sites in the capital, Khartoum, and a number of areas in the states, including the Jebel Moya area, adding that the vanquishment of the militia in Jebel Moya enabled the armed forces to obtain conclusive evidence of the UAE’s involvement in supplying the militia with weapons and logistical support.
