Turkey: We are working with Egypt to end Sudan war before Ramadan

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan pledged to continue working with Egypt to end the war in Sudan before the advent of Ramadan.

 

 

He stressed during, a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdel-Aati that cooperation between Turkey and Egypt is vital to the stability of the region, noting that relations between the two countries have become stronger than ever.

 

Fidan underlined the importance of the role played by Egypt in achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and providing humanitarian aid, emphasizing Turkey’s categorical rejection of any attempts to exile Palestinians from Gaza or the occupied Palestinian territories.

 

Turkish Foreign Minister added that Turkey seeks to develop its relations with Egypt in all fields, expressing his great appreciation for Egypt for its prominent role in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza.

 

The Turkish minister touched on the great efforts made by both Egypt and Qatar in seeking to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, asserting the need to intensify efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire.
