Gebreil Ibrahim’s Movement Adheres to Its Share of Ministries in Sudan
The Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), led by Gebreil Ibrahim, announced its full adherence to the principles and requirements of the Juba Peace Agreement for Sudan, including the executive positions approved pursuant to it.
Mohamed Zakaria Farajallah, the Secretary of Media and official spokesman for the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement, confirmed that their adherence to the Juba Agreement represents a complete adherence to its principles and requirements.
In response to media reports regarding the positions of the peace parties, Farajallah said, in a press statement on Tuesday, “We affirm that our adherence to the Juba Peace Agreement for Sudan represents a complete adherence to its principles and requirements, including the executive positions approved pursuant to it.”
Press reports had indicated escalating disagreements between the parties to the Juba Peace Agreement regarding the mechanism for participation in the government that Prime Minister Kamil Idris intends to announce in the coming period, given the failure to reach a final consensus on the distribution of ministerial portfolios.
