French Foreign Ministry Opens Its Doors to National Congress Party

A delegation from the National Congress Party (NCP) met on September 3, 2026, at the headquarters of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Paris with Emmanuelle Plattmann, Director of the Africa and Indian Ocean Directorate, and Ambassador Jean-Marie Safa, the French Special Envoy to Sudan.

The party was represented at the meeting by Tariq Hamza Zain Al-Abdeen, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Sector. Discussions covered the latest developments in Sudan, the importance of concerted efforts to support peace and stability, and alleviate the suffering of citizens.

The party underscored the important role France could play, in light of the historic relations between the two countries, in supporting Sudan and advocating for its just causes in international forums.

The delegation also presented the party’s national vision and its efforts to achieve security and stability and defend the interests of the Sudanese people.
