Former SAF Chief of Staff: Severing Ties with UAE Has Consequences
Former Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) General Hashim Abdul-Mutalib said that Sudan’s decision to sever diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was a successful and wise decision.
He explained that the decision did not come late, as it has been proven to the entire world that the UAE is involved in supporting the militia and has provided strategic weapons, some of which have been seized by the armed forces, top of which Nimr armored vehicles, a large quantity of ammunition, Russian armored tanks, and drones.
In a statement to the Sudanese Echoes Platform, Abdul-Mutalib added that the recent attack on facilities in Portsudan came after the army bombed Nyala Airport.
SAF Chief of Staff explained that all of this confirms that there is no room for complacency in the face of such attacks, emphasizing that the decision to sever ties has consequences, as he put it.
