Foreign Ministry issues a statement on the attacks gainst Sudanese in South Sudan

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern over the escalation of the situation in Juba, the capital of the sisterly state of South Sudan, and a number of other cities, following the attacks that targeted the persons, property of Sudanese citizens and their shops. These events were accompanied by widespread incitement campaigns against Sudanese residing there.

 

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the wisdom shown in President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s speech regarding the unfortunate events in the capital, Juba, and his call for calm, not resorting to violence, and restoring rights through legitimate means without prejudice to the rights of others.
