Foreign Minister Welcomes Biden’s Decision to Lift Restrictions on Sudan

Foreign Minister Hussein Awad welcomed US President Joe Biden’s decision to lift some of the restrictions that America had imposed on Sudan under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, allowing it to receive US development aid and benefit from the USAID Global Health Care Program.

The minister said that the decision represents an important progress in relations between the two countries. He called on the US government to take further measures that would allow Sudan to benefit from all the assistance provided by the United States.
