El-Fashir… Icon of Struggle
Scattered Papers
Mohamed Al Fatih
El-Fashir remained a fortress of steadfastness and struggle; all internal and external conspiracies were broken on its fronts. The outlaw Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with their equipment and gear from West and Central Africa, with regional support and sophisticated weapons, were unable to break the will of the people of El-Fashir.
As Napoléon Bonaparte said, the weapon is not important, but the man behind the weapon is important. “If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog, in any fight, the lions will die like a dog. But if you build an army of 100 dogs and their leader is a lion, all dogs will fight as a lion.”
The people of El-Fashir bravely and shrewdly confronted nearly 70 attacks, and North Darfur State forwarded convoys of martyrs and knights. It will remain resistant to tyrants and will remain steadfast in the face of aggressors with its men, youth, women and children because for them it is a battle of dignity and existence. For them, it is a symbol of pride and dignity.
No force will be able to overthrow El-Fashir. The Sudanese have never seen in their lives competition and race for battlefields, sacrifice, redemption and desperate defense, as what was done in the capital of North Darfur, El-Fashir.
This determination astonished everyone, even the foreigners who planned, financed, promised and executed the downfall of El-Fashir, and then after that, they were left with the face of their dead father watching the state of hysteria, confusion and frustration that struck the political wing of the Rapid Support Forces after the fall of the Rapid Support Forces commanders in the fields of dignity at the hands of the heroes of the Sixth Infantry Division, the Joint Forces and the mobilized forces. It is a scene that makes the body shudder, a scene that angers those who identify with the cowards and astonishes those who believe that victory is coming inevitably. Really it is unbelievable, what makes youth and men come from the ends of the earth, from America, Australia and Europe, running, digging trenches, threatening and vowing to defeat the outlaw RSF militia and cleanse El-Fashir and its surroundings of mercenaries?
I believe that the liberation of all of Darfur will kick-off from El-Fashir and the rare heroic deeds that stood as a solid barrier so that their honor would not be violated and their women would not be raped will remain. The river of blood that has watered the land of ordeal in Gezira in general, in Wad Al-Noura in particular and in Al-Geneina before will be the fuel for the liberation of Sudan and for taking revenge on this hateful, mercenary gang. El-Fashir will be a graveyard for the bastards and thugs. If the weak-willed, traitors and agents who roam abroad in support of the militia think that they are breaking the will of the people, they are delusional.
