Egyptian MP Calls for Activating the Four Freedoms Between Egypt and Sudan

Egyptian Member of Parliament (MP) and Editor In-Chief of the Egyptian newspaper Al-Usbu’ (The Weekly) Mustafa Bakri called for activating the Four Freedoms between Egypt and Sudan.

In an interview with Sudanese Echoes, published in the inner pages, Bakri accused Chadians of committing crimes in Sudan while participating in the war within the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). He emphasized Egypt’s rejection of the formation of a RSF government in Darfur, calling on Sudanese political forces to review their positions on the national issue. He added, “Anyone who conspires against the Sudanese people will not succeed, and the Sudanese people cannot give up a single inch of their territory.” He indicated that political parties will play a major role in the next phase.

Bakri predicted that elections and the formation of a parliament would take place after the army completely defeats the rebellion.
