Egyptian Foreign Minister Hands over Al-Burhan a Written Message from Al-Sisi, Plegdes to Solve Problems of Sudanese in Egypt
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Ati delivered a written message from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi to President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Youssef said, in a press statement, that the visit of the Egyptian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation reflects the strength and development of relations between the two brotherly countries.
He added that the meeting between Al-Burhan and the Egyptian Foreign Minister was fruitful.
Dr. Ali Youssef said that President Al-Burhan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Egyptian President and people for the good reception of the Sudanese who went to Egypt after the war and the services provided by Egypt to them.
The Foreign Minister explained that there are some problems facing the Sudanese in Egypt and they were discussed with Minister Abdel-Ati, who pledged to solve and address them.
For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister explained that his visit to Sudan came in implementation of President Al-Sisi’s directives to convey a message of full support and solidarity from the Egyptian state to the Sudanese state.
He said that his country is keen on Sudan regaining its membership and activity in the African Union, stressing his country’s readiness to do everything in its power to resume Sudan’s activity within the African Union as soon as possible. Abdel-Ati added that there is ongoing consultation between the two countries on the water issue as it is an existential topic for Egypt and Sudan, particularly that Sudan and Egypt are downstream countries and their concerns must be taken into consideration.
