Due to self-determination Right”… The meetings of (Tagadum), Al-Hilu and Abdel-Wahid Nour in Nairobi failed

Forces from the Sudanese Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Tagadum) and armed movements, including the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) led by Abdel-Wahid Nour and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) led by Al-Hilu and political forces, sucha as the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party, concluded their meetings in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Wednesday evening, without any major breakthroughs regarding the formation of the broad civil front.

 

Sources said that differences over the proposals of secularism and self-determination put forward by the SPLM-N led by Al-Hilu hindered reaching an agreement. They pointed out that the meeting was divided into working groups to study the formation of a civil front, hold a roundtable, and discuss the political vision and the founding document.

 

Sources disclosed that efforts to resolve the disagreements within the Tagadum regarding the formation of the government have come up stalemate. The sources expected an announcement of the disengagement between the two parties supporting and rejecting the formation of the government.
