The Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Isnad Association, Amira Al-Fadil, launched an urgent distress call to help Sudanese families residing in Egypt in its various governorates due to their serious and dire need for winter clothes and blankets in light of the successive drop in temperatures in Egypt.

At the same time, while the association launched a campaign on Tuesday to provide about 84,000 blankets for Sudanese families, she said that only about 7,000 blankets are now available.

Amira said, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes), “The conditions of the Sudanese in Egypt are bad, as most of them do not possess anything, particularly as the money sent to them by their relatives from abroad has become devalued after the deterioration of the exchange rate of the Sudanese currency.” She appealed to the charitable individuals and organizations, and anyone who has surplus money, to allocate it to the Sudanese residing in Egypt and the displaced within the safe areas in Sudan.
