Drones Attack Portsudan Port, Airport, and Hotel… Fires Erupt in City Center

A squadron of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drones bombed vital facilities in Portsudan, the interim capital, for the third time on Tuesday.
The bombing targeted the vicinity of Portsudan’s port and airport, with fires and smoke billowing into the city’s sky.
Flames also rose from oil depots near the southern port, the main port in Portsudan on the Red Sea coast.
Two other explosions were heard near the Marina Hotel in Portsudan downtown and around the Flamingo military base north of the city, causing limited smoke.
The drones caused limited damage to the Marina Hotel, near the guest house in central Portsudan.
According to sources who spoke to Sudan Tribune, a drone bombed a fuel depot inside Portsudan International Airport, causing a massive explosion and fire at the airport. Authorities immediately evacuated passengers from the airport and suspended flights, while civil defense forces began containing the fires resulting from the bombing.
The Sudanese government and army have yet to comment on the drone attack on Portsudan.
This is the second attack of its kind, following a similar attack the day before yesterday, in which the Sudanese army accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of targeting the Osman Digna Air Base, adjacent to the airport, with a swarm of drones.
RSF drones also attacked strategic fuel depots south of Portsudan on Monday, causing massive fires that firefighters are still dealing with.
