Decision Subjected Forces Supporting SAF to Armed Forces Act’s Provisions

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has issued a decision subjecting all supporting forces operating with the armed forces and carrying weapons to the provisions of the Armed Forces Act of 2007 and its amendments, which shall apply to their personnel.

A circular issued by the office of the SAF Official Spokesman, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, stated that the decision affirms the rule of law and strengthens command and control.

The circular confirmed that all supporting forces would be under the command of the commanders of the armed forces in various areas.

The decision went into effect as of yesterday, Saturday, August 16, 2025.
