Dagalo Threatens to Eliminate Al-Tahir Hajar and Al-Hadi Idris
The second-in-command of the Rapid Support Forcers (RSF) militia threatened its two leaders allied with the militia, Al-Tahir Hajar and Al-Hadi Idris, with physical elimination if they did not personally participate in the fighting in Kordofan, accompanied by their troops.
Journalist specializing in Darfur affairs Abdel-Majid Abdel-Hamid said in a Facebook post that sharp disputes had erupted within the militia’s ranks following its crushing defeat in Sudri.
Abdel-Hamid stated that the militia’s second-in-command, Abdel-Rahim Dagalo, forced Al-Tahir Hajar and Al-Hadi Idris to participate in the fighting for the first time since the outbreak of the war, threatening them with physical elimination if they refused to lead their forces against the army. He added that the two rebels had already arrived in Kordofan alongside Dagalo, amid fears that they could be eliminated during their current mission.
He further said that the fate of the militia forces routed from Sodri remains unknown, as their remnants scattered across the areas of Om Badr, Eyal Bakhit and Armel, while other groups dispersed across the plains and valleys near the Foga area.
Journalist Abdel-Hamid confirmed that the latest attempt to regroup the fleeing forces had failed after a sharp dispute broke out between militia officers and a delegation sent by Dagalo to redeploy them. The dispute nearly escalated into an exchange of gunfire, reflecting the state of internal collapse engulfing the militia.
