(Dagalo) escapes, his bodyguard and eight of RSF field commanders killed

The joint force supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced that it dispersed an advance forces of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, coming from Libya through the desert, led by the RSF second commander, Abdel-Rahim Dagalo, where the militia forces inflicted heavy losses in lives, equipment and vehicles on the desert hub in the (Dari Shagi) area north of Mellit.

 

A military source confirmed to (Sudanese Echoes) that the rebel Abdel-Rahim Dagalo escaped towards the Chadian border and that his personal guard, “Al-Gasari Andri”, was killed.

 

For his part, the member of the media committee in the joint force, Captain Mutawakkil Ali Wakeel Abuja, pointed out the death of more than eight prominent leaders, and the escape of those who remained, leaving behind them columns of corpses, in addition to the arrest of a large number of captives, the destruction of (12) combat vehicles, and the seizure of (10) others.

 

The joint force revealed, in its statement issued today on its Facebook page, that the militia had mobilized mercenaries from other countries who were undergoing training in Libya, and brought them with the aim of opening the desert road linking Darfur and Libya.
