Cyber Fraud Wave in Sudan Destroys Savings of 15,000 Victims
Sudan has witnessed a widespread wave of cyber fraud that has affected more than 15,000 victims over the past year, resulting in the loss of their savings amid conditions of war and widespread poverty.
Adam Al-Sanousi, Prosecutor at the Cybercrime Prosecution Office, told Al Arabiya Net that criminal networks are using “social engineering” and psychological manipulation to deceive victims with promises of financial aid, enabling them to gain access to bank accounts and drain funds.
