Call to investigate British MPs over Al-Dagalo leadership

The Darfur Links Group in the United Kingdom strongly condemned attempts by some MPs of the Sudan and South Sudan Parliamentary Group in the British House of Commons to hold a meeting with leaderships of the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed) militias, who are involved in committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, including genocide against displaced persons (IDPs) in Zamzam camp.
(Sudanese Echoes) reviewed a post by the head of the Darfur Links Group, Abdullah Abu Garda, on Facebook, in which he said “In a provocative move towards the victims of the genocide in Darfur, some individuals or groups within the British Parliament invited the Janjaweed militias and disrupted the parliament’s regulations, allowing them to be present inside it, take pictures and make statements, in clear violation of the regulations and laws.”
He added “The advisor to the commander-in-chief of the Rapid Support Forces militia, Omran Abdullah, made a statement from inside Parliament, confirming the council’s recognition of their government.”
Abu Garda called on Parliament to investigate this matter, especially since the Rapid Support Forces Militia committed atrocities, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. He added “This is what the British government acknowledged in our meeting with the Minister of Africa last month.”
