Army Says Over 600 RSF Fighters Killed in Al-Kormuk Encirclement

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are fighting what they described as the final stages of a decisive battle for control of the strategic city of Al-Kormuk in the Blue Nile region, with troops advancing to within two kilometres of the city’s core amid a reported collapse in RSF positions.

Senior military sources told “Al-Onwan 24” Channel that more than 600 RSF fighters were killed in intense clashes around the city.

The losses reportedly resulted from a tight siege imposed by army units ahead of what they described as a final assault phase.

According to the sources, artillery, Katyusha rocket systems, and drones carried out precise strikes on RSF positions, destroying defensive lines and severely restricting movement during the critical phase of the fighting.

Field reports also indicated a mass withdrawal of foreign support personnel and military advisers fighting alongside the RSF militia, following the tightening of the encirclement and growing certainty of an imminent army advance.
