Army Repels Four Suicide Assault Waves by Mercenaries on Sali Frontline

The armed forces, through the Fourth Infantry Division supported by regular units and volunteer fighters, have successfully broken and destroyed a fierce and coordinated attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, backed by mercenaries and elements of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (Joseph Toka wing), targeting the strategic area of Sali in the southern axis of Blue Nile State.

According to military sources, the assault began in the early hours of Tuesday morning in four successive waves of infantry and combat formations. The Fourth Division forces reportedly stood firm, repelling all “suicide-style” attempts and forcing the attacking elements to withdraw under heavy fire.

The battles resulted in what the army described as the complete destruction of the attacking force, including the elimination of the so-called “Group 35” affiliated with the RSF militia, along with the field commander of the unit.

The army further stated that 10 combat vehicles were seized in good condition, while more than 15 additional vehicles were destroyed during the clashes. This brings the total number of destroyed vehicles in the sector over recent days to more than 50, according to the same sources.
