Army Poised to Take Control of Al-Kormuk, Liberation Expected “at Any Moment”

Al-Kormuk Locality Commissioner in the Blue Nile Region Abdel Aati Al-Faki said the Sudanese Armed Forces’ (SAF) takeover of Al-Kormuk town is imminent.

Speaking to Ultra Sudan, Al-Faki said the armed forces and supporting forces are now positioned to liberate the town “at any moment.”

He added that the field situation indicates that military operations in the area are nearing completion. Al-Faki said the army currently holds the initiative on the ground around Al-Kormuk, noting that once the military leadership determines the appropriate timing, the forces will be able to enter and secure the town, paving the way for the safe return of residents to their homes.
