Army Missiles Pound Militia Warehouses and Sites in Nyala
Concordant military sources and local residents reveal that airstrikes targeted the headquarters of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and a warehouse in the vicinity of Nyala International Airport in South Darfur State on Thursday and Friday. Concordant military sources within the militia tell (Darfur24) that army drones targeted an RSF warehouse and headquarters in the vicinity of Nyala International Airport on Friday with three consecutive missiles.
They state that the last targeting occurred on Thursday evening, without providing further details about the strike, noting that a series of drones targeted “Al-Gasharat” last week without hitting their targets.
Local residents from the eastern neighborhoods of the city indicate that they saw plumes of smoke rising from the direction of the airport, following violent explosions at around 4:30 PM. In the same context, citizens tell (Darfur24) about an increase in flights landing at Nyala International Airport over the past few days. They explain that air traffic has become near-daily, starting from 7:00 PM until the early hours of the following morning.
