Ardol Launches Fierce Attack on Al-Hilu, Holds Him Responsible for “Kauda Massacres”

Chairman of the Democratic Alliance for Social Justice Mubarak Ardol accused the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, of carrying out organized attacks against residents of Kauda and surrounding areas over the past two weeks.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Ardol said documented reports indicated that civilians were killed and homes, shops, and places of worship were burned and looted. He described the events in Kauda as unjustifiable and “a stain on the honor of the struggle.”

Ardol held Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, Chief of Staff Izzat Koko, Hezekiel Koko Talodi, and Yaqoub Kaluka directly responsible for the incidents, while criticizing the silence of political and military leaders regarding what he described as “massacres.”
