“Al-Dagalo” Preparing Forces to Attack Musa Hilal
North Darfur — Sudanese Echoes
Sources revealed that Abdulrahim Dagalo, deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, is assembling a force to attack the town of Musteriha in North Darfur with the aim of arresting the leader of the Mahamid, Musa Hilal, according to Al-‘Unwan 24.
In a video statement, Musa Hilal accused Dagalo of attempting to dismantle the Mahamid tribe by sowing discord and supporting divisions through financial and military means.
Hilal’s remarks come amid escalating tensions between him — as a tribal and military leader aligned with the Sudanese Armed Forces — and the RSF militia since January 1, following the killing of the militia’s security advisor, Hamid Ali Abu Bakr, and the commander of the Revolutionary Awakening Council forces (the militia-aligned faction), along with several of their companions, in a drone strike in Al-Firdous area of East Darfur.
Hilal stated: “If Abdulrahim is a man of value and a true revolutionary leader, he should not fight us from behind the scenes, using our people with money and weapons to incite attacks on Musteriha… We are a cohesive entity, and those who attempt to dismantle us, we say: you will not succeed.”
