Al-Burhan: Decisive victory approaces… we accept any genuine initiative that ends the war
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, heralded the Sudanese people that the hour of victory is approaching and the time of decisive victory has come.
While revealing that the government is preparing to resolve the battle in favor of the people, he left the door open to any genuine initiative that ends the war, but he stipulated ensuring the safe return of citizens to their homes and the absence of anything that threatens their lives again. At the same time, he closed the door to the return of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia or the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Tagadum) to power. He added, “The situation will not return to what it was before April 15, 2023,” and continued, “We cannot accept the presence of these killers and criminals and their supporters among the people again.”
Al-Burhan said, in a speech on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Sudan’s independence, that this anniversary is passing under difficult circumstances and conditions that the Sudanese people bear with all valor and sacrifice. Al-Burhan prayed to Allah Almighty that “the anniversary will return and we have bid farewell to sorrows, become united and laid solid foundations to build (our homeland that we dream of every day).
Al-Burhan stressed that the Sudanese are being killed, displaced, starved, impoverished and desecrated by the terrorist militia of Al-Dagalo and its collaborators and supporters. He said that these practices have made clear to the people the value of affiliation with the homeland. He continued, “The ranks have become distinct,” attributing the army’s victories to the unprecedented popular cohesion.
TSC President said, “We are on the path to decisive victory with confident and steady steps.” Al-Burhan boasted about the Sudanese and said, “There is not a single patriot who has stayed away from the war of dignity.” Al-Burhan sent greetings to the citizens of Al-Fashir (lion’s mustache) and to the regular and joint forces (morale is above).
Meanwhile, Al-Burhan denied the rumors about the existence of famine in Sudan and said, “What is being rumored is just a slander to interfere in Sudanese affairs.”
