Advanced Weapons Shipments Belonging to RSF Reach Terrorist Groups in Africa
Sudanese Presidential Sovereignty Council (TSC) political adviser Amjad Farid said advanced weapons shipments belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia have already reached terrorist groups in Africa, warning of the serious implications of this development for regional and international security.
Farid explained that RSF support networks rely on border corridors between Chad and Libya — the same routes used by smugglers and terrorist groups — making these networks part of a cross-border trafficking system that threatens regional stability.
He added that the overlap between the RSF and terrorist organizations represents a compounded threat, as advanced weapons are falling into the hands of extremist groups, further intensifying conflicts and strengthening terrorism and smuggling activities across the continent.
