A frightening police warning to residents of a Sudanese city about “9 Tall” gangs

The River Nile State Police warned residents of the city of Atbara about the increasing crimes of theft and kidnapping carried out by the so-called “9 Tall” gangs, calling for caution and preventive measures to ensure their safety.
In a statement issued on Monday, the police recommended not to move individually, particularly for women, and to avoid walking in deserted streets. The police urged people not to respond to attempts by unknown individuals to lure them under the pretext of offering assistance, urging them to immediately report any suspected surveillance or pursuit by individuals or groups.
Atbara has witnessed a significant increase in crime rates and security chaos.
With the decline in security, criminal gangs have taken advantage of the situation to carry out robberies and kidnappings targeting civilians.
