Abdel-Rahim Dagalo Liquidates “Kordofan Axis” Commanders in Daqris Prison
Informed sources have revealed that the intelligence service of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is maintaining a tight information blackout over reports of the deaths and executions of several senior field commanders inside the notorious Daqris Prison, amid genuine fears of armed internal clashes in the Darfur cities of Nyala and El-Daein.
According to the sources, the targeted commanders had been summoned from the battlefronts in the Kordofan axis last week. Strong suspicions indicate that they were subjected to direct physical elimination without appearing before any military or judicial courts.
Field reports said the executions were carried out on direct orders from RSF Deputy Commander Abdel Rahim Dagalo, after the commanders were accused of being responsible for the recent military defeats and setbacks suffered by the force on the Kordofan fronts.
The sources added that the intelligence leadership of the Dagalo family is making strenuous efforts to prevent the publication of any details about the incident, fearing that the security situation could deteriorate and trigger internal violence in their main strongholds of Nyala and El-Daein, given the tribal and regional influence of the commanders, around two-thirds of whom belong to the local social groups that support the RSF in those areas.
