Covert Operations Inflict Heavy Losses on Militia in Southern Blue Nile

Field sources said on Tuesday that covert operations carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces’ hostile-action teams had intensified significantly along the southern Blue Nile front, amid signs of confusion and setbacks among militia forces in the area.

The sources told Eyewitness Platform that the specialized operations had repeatedly drawn militia elements into destructive ambushes, taking advantage of the region’s complex terrain and rugged landscape.

They said the difficult terrain had become a major challenge to the movement of armed groups, contributing to mounting losses and a sustained depletion of their forces.
