Ethiopian Security Officials Killed in Al-Kormuk

For the second consecutive day, Sudanese air defenses shot down a strategic drone in Al-Kormuk locality, Blue Nile State, just 24 hours after downing another drone on Sunday.

Sudanese affairs analyst Sajid Nadim said Sudanese forces carried out two rounds of drone strikes on Friday and Saturday morning near Al-Kormuk, on the Ethiopian side of the border. The strikes killed three Ethiopian security officials, along with several elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N).

Nadim said the Ethiopian Air Force attempted to respond, but an Akinci drone was shot down near Dandro.

The strikes also targeted military supply trucks and combat vehicles traveling along the Assosa–Al-Kormuk route, destroying the vehicles and neutralizing field commanders affiliated with the militia alliance.
