Army Launches Large-Scale Ground Offensive to Regain Control of Areas in the Blue Nile Region

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched a large-scale ground offensive on Sunday against positions and areas controlled by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the Blue Nile Region.

Field sources reported that the army’s ground units advanced along several combat axes in the region, targeting militia gathering points and its main defensive positions, with the aim of fully restoring control over those areas and securing the region.

According to sources cited by Al-Onwan 24 Channel, the area is witnessing fierce clashes amid notable advances by army forces. The development comes amid an escalation of military operations being conducted by the Sudanese Armed Forces to end the presence of the rebel militia across all fronts.
