Decisive Military Talks on Border Security Between Sudanese and South Sudanese Defense Ministers

Sudanese Defense Minister Hassan Kabroun met with his South Sudanese counterpart, Chol Tong Blok, at the Ministry of Defense headquarters in the Belfam area of the capital, Juba, as part of official joint meetings to discuss security and military issues of mutual interest.

The Sudanese Embassy in Juba said the two sides discussed issues related to the meetings of the Joint Political and Security Committee, as well as ways to strengthen field cooperation and coordination to regulate movement across the border separating the two countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of maintaining joint coordination and tightening security controls to safeguard security, peace and stability in the border areas, while supporting issues of mutual interest between Khartoum and Juba.
