Dagalo Family’s RSF Kills Four Prominent Native Administration Leaders in Suicide Drone Strike

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia led by the Dagalo family killed four prominent native administration leaders in the “Ghara Al-Zawiya” area of North Darfur State after targeting their meeting place with a suicide drone, in a move that reveals the scale of internal conflicts and the escalating policy of repression against voices rejecting its agenda.

The incident followed an emergency meeting held by RSF commander Abdel Rahim Dagalo with native administration leaders in the area, during which he ordered them to declare general mobilization and enforce the recruitment of young people and children from local communities in order to compensate for the militia’s heavy human losses on the battlefronts, particularly after the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) captured the strategic city of Bara.

The meeting witnessed a collective rejection by four prominent local leaders in the area: Omda Ahmed Bakhit, Omda Al-Zein Al-Nour, Omda Al-Doum Al-Nadeef, and Omda Jad Al-Rab. They rejected the meeting’s outcomes and attempts to involve members of their communities in military operations, stressing that their previous participation had brought nothing to their communities but destruction and the loss of young people, leaving the area completely devoid of men and youth, with only women and the elderly remaining.

After leaving the meeting and announcing their rejection, the gathering place of the four leaders in Ghara Al-Zawiya was targeted by a suicide drone operated by the militia, killing them all instantly in a deliberate and direct assassination operation over their refusal to comply with recruitment orders issued by the militia leadership.
