Al-Hilu Extorts Money from Hemedti in Exchange for Fighting
Media reports have revealed escalating tensions between Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (“Hemedti”) and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N) leader Abdelaziz Al-Hilu over the distribution of revenues from oil fields, gold mines, and local governance arrangements.
According to informed sources cited in the reports, Al-Hilu has imposed strict financial conditions for maintaining the field alliance, a move that points to widening strains within the partnership between the two sides.
